This limited edition Ludwig Black Beauty 5x14, is #24 of only 150 made. The shell was made from a single sheet of brass that is machine drawn and spun into a seamless beaded shell. The hand engraving was done by John Aldridge and signed by John on the inside shell. The engraving is a replica of the 1920's Ludwig DeLuxe (Black Beauty) design. Top of the line Ludwig gold-plated hardware make this drum sound as good as it looks.

Handcrafted in Granville, Massachusetts to our specs, this 7” deep Solid Shell drum is made from curated 1/4” Tulip and steam bent - a process Noble & Cooley has been doing since the Civil War.  Combined with their famous Nodal Point lugs and hand-cut bearing edge which is true to 1/10,000th of an inch, this drum sounds every bit as good as it looks.
