Vintage Steam-Bent Drum ...
This drum features an original Ludwig Tango drum shell from 1919 that has been outfitted with modern hardware, including a Ludwig P86C throw-off, a 5-position DW butt plate, and DW True hoops. While boldly drilling mounting holes into a century-old steam-bent shell might seem crazy, the result is a sound like no other. The birds-eye maple outer ply on the solid, steam-bent mahogany shell has been preserved and enhanced by the brass hardware. This snare provides the vintage vibe of early shells with the attack and control of modern drums.
