The SPL instrument files are based on multiple velocity and round-robin samples, including rimshots (which can be controlled separately in DrumXchanger plug-in).

The Legendary Black Beauty
An American classic, the Black Beauty delivers a warm, fat, metallic tone that cuts through a thick mix like nothing else. Fitted with Ludwig's P85 Supraphonic strainer, Imperial lugs, and triple- flanged hoops, this drum is super responsive. Due to a complex manufacturing process, they're not easy to make, so the Black Beauty is only available in limited quantities each year from Ludwig USA.
