Tama’s Ultimate Snare Drum … 

This incredibly engineered snare drum features a 7 ply 6mm maple shell finished in gloss mocha brown.  The 120 degree snare bed allows for a freely resonating bottom head and maximum snare response.  This is further refined by the unique 18-strand combination snares which consist of 3 different materials: 6 nickel wound guitar strings, 6 nylon coated stainless steel straight wire, and 6 hi-carbon coil snares, which all work together to promote a dynamic, vibrant response. Each strand set is  individually adjustable and mounted in Tama’s patented Multi Snare Frame which extends beyond the shell on both sides.  Coupled with Tama’s linear drive system, 3 vents, grooved straight hoops, and freedom lug and claw hooks, this snare sounds amazing!

Also included are 30 individual velocity samples with 5 different velocities containing 3 round robins each: one set of 15 files for All Mics, and one set of 15 for only Room Mics (excludes the close mics 1-5 below). This allows you to easily create MIDI files and/or trigger replacements.  You can also use the Room Mic-only velocity files for layering or creating a unique sound enhanced by our incredible drum tracking room.
